1908-03 The United States Electrical Manufacturing Company began building electric motors in Los Angeles (later U.S. Electrical Motors, the U.S. Motors brand). 1962 U.S. Electrical Motors became a division of Emerson Electric Co. 2010 The U.S. Motors brand was sold to Nidec, which formed Nidec Motor Corporation from Emerson's Motors & Controls business.
